Alignment Nashville is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that was created to align community organizations and resources so that their coordinated support of Nashville’s youth has a positive impact on public school success, children’s health, and the success of our community as a whole.
The Alignment Nashville structure and process ensures that community initiatives and priorities–such as Social-Emotional Learning, School Nutrition, and more–are connected to and supportive of the Academies of Nashville. The High School Team, which includes representatives from schools, community, and business, provides ongoing oversight and community engagement for the Academies of Nashville.
Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) is the 46th largest school district in the country, serving more than 87,000 students in metropolitan Nashville/Davidson County. MNPS students represent more than 120 different countries and speak nearly as many different languages. MNPS is home to the Academies of Nashville, one of the country’s most widely recognized high school transformation efforts, which have contributed to a 23.8% increase in graduation rates since 2005.
Ford Next Generation Learning mobilizes educators, employers, and community leaders to create a new generation of young people who will graduate from high school both college- and career-ready—an emerging workforce prepared to compete successfully in the 21st century economy.
